Why Prepare?

With events like hurricane Katrina, the California wildfires, the devastating tsunami in 2005 and more recently, the Icelandic volcano eruption, many Americans are becoming aware of the importance of preparedness in today's world.

If you think about it - most of us do a pretty good job. We buy home and auto insurance to protect our personal property from damage or loss. We purchase medical insurance for our family just in case someone becomes ill. We even go so far as to buy life insurance to protect our family in the event that something bad should happen to us. But do you realize what the odds are of these things ACTUALLY happening to us? They're surprisingly low - especially considering the amount of money we spend for such policies. During hurricane Katrina the residents of New Orleans were stranded in their flooded homes for a minimum of three days before any help came. That's three days with no food, water or medical supplies. How would your family fare in this scenario? It's a terrible situation to contemplate which is probably why many of us don't want to have to think about and it would be nice if we didn't have to. Environmentally Conscious

We take a naturalistic approach to our product selection when it comes to body care products. You will notice that the items we offer are usually organic in nature and chemical and preservative free when available. We believe in promoting environmental sustainability through use of natural, organic and earth-friendly products.

We use recycled packaging and shipping products to ship our survival equipment, and avoid over-packaging which government statistics show make up for around 18% of all household waste.
