The first time I saw the LifeGear flashlight/glowstick, I bought it immediately. These inexpensive flashlights are a wonderful invention. The light beam from the flashlight can be focused into a chamber, making it light up like a glowstick, without the chemicals of course. The flashlight has several other uses including a whistle, flashlight, strobe light and I’ve heard storage inside the glowtube itself.
- LED glow stick, safety flasher, and flashlight and whistle all in one.
- Environmentally friendly: reusable, long-lasting, battery powered. No chemicals. Nontoxic.
- Emergency Whistle
- Long-lasting: lasts 200 or more hours in flasher mode.
- 3 AG-13 replaceable batteries included.
- Life-Gear FREE Battery Replacement Program included
- Lightweight. Has easy-to-press on-off button.
- Three colors available: blue, red, green.
- Warm LED lightbulb used (not harsh blue LED light).
- Detachable lanyard (~15 inches) included.
- Product is 7 inches long.

Home Depot carries these for about 5.00 each. I love them and have been using them in GHB and BOB since last Christmas.
I would love to find one about half the length for an EDC item.
Good idea on the storage part too I am going to check that out today, maybe put a few matches in there.
Good to know on the price difference at Home Depot – thanks for the tip. Let me know if you end up finding any smaller ones, I'd like to pick a few of those up myself.
Great product but the "free battery replacement" amount is exactly the same cost as buying the item again. Brilliant marketing since no one checks prior to purchase but seems a little disingenuous to me.
We’ve been using these for about a year and they’re great. I torture tested one by leaving it hanging by the lanyard on a tree branch for 8 months. After that, it still kind of worked, the button had issues. After fully disassembling and drying all parts, it works just fine. Inexpensive and durable.
