The Respite is a unique shelter that transforms into a hammock, and with a few simple pole movements, you can convert your shelter/hammock in seconds. The strong steel tubing and the ability to convert into a backpack for travel, make the Respite a convenient and durable piece of equipment.

Wow, yeah… call me when it becomes an actual product that one can buy rather than just a few drawings and possibly a design prototype.
Or, maybe I should say… If.
Considering survival is about being prepared, I just figure people would rather read about products that are less imaginary.

looks too bulky.

there are hammocks that fold to the size of a tennis ball, are comfortable, and weigh a few ounces. Put your big ole butt on this and see how much the "roof" stretches out. Bad design, bad concept – considering the plethora of smarter options.

uh, doesn't a "backpack" carry the things you, uh, NEED? This thing isn't the backpack; IT turns YOU into the "backpack" for IT. Guess you'll need a hammock after toting all that AND the stuff you actually NEED. LOL
