Not an expert trapper myself, but I've noticed many small animals prefer to travel around perimeters of structures or stacked items rather than centers of clearings. One possible 'funnel' is to create an artificial tunnel that the animal feels safer traveling through or under, and putting a snare there as well.

Were do i start? getting traps or guns or equiptment. and again, how do i catch a squirrel.
