I am recovering from the flu and it a bad case of it head, nose, lungs, diarrhea. Here's what's finally worked for me. Bentonite ( get the kind already made with water). Vitamin C, Bioflavnoids, Some of this Hyland's Flu (its the ingredients that matter). Look them up. Here's a little article I found below: Hyland's Rus Tox for Pain and all of this can be used with animals as well. I'm going to try the Diatomaceous Earth next. The Bentonite was so helpful I had no idea that Bentonite, Diatomaceous adsorb viruses. But they work well. I think a good multivitamin (I like the Nature Plus Mini Reds), and some good Fish oil with vitamin d work too. I had been trying all the blood cleaning herbs I could find Enchienca, Golden Rod, Curcumin, Bayberry. But nothing worked like the Bentonite. So I going to be adding the Diatomaceous Earth Now. This Flu bug is a bugger for sure. I even used my typical Apple Cider Vinegar which ususally wipes out diarrhea, but it wasn't doing a things for this bug. Good Luck. Below is a little article about Ancients and treating the flu bug.
Herbal Treatments for Pandemic Influenza: Learning from the Eclectics Experience.
A group of physicians treated victims of the 1918 influenza pandemic with botanical medicines and the treatments were very successful. This article reviews some of the botanicals that were used to treat patients who had influenza. It also reviews research indicating the herbs can counteract the cytokine dysregulation induced by severe types of influenza. Coverage includes Gelsemium sempervirens (gelsemium root; also know as yellow jasmine and yellow Jessamine), Eupatorium perfoliatum (boneset; also known as thoroughwort and Indian sage), Actea Racemosa (black cohosh; also know as macrotys; formerly Cimicifuga racemosa), Asclepias tuberose (pleurisy root; also know as butterfly week), and Atrop Belladonna (belladonna) as well as the roles the interleukin (IL)-6 interferon inducible protein (IP)-10, cytokines, and chemokines play in influenza.

I love your advice. With sickness and the flu I would get the vaccine if possible while still taking preventative measures. It's like knowing that a natural disaster could happen any moment and just trusting that the government will provide enough food for everyone when it happens. Instead you could create your own food storage and know that you are prepared at least in that.

I think it's important to be prepared for everything instead of finding yourself in a situation where it's too late. Prepare all you want for food shortage, but fail to combat against viral and bacterial infection and a survival situation can be turned on its head quickly. I found a simple way to cover this at armageddonoutfittersonline.com. flu kits.

As scary as some of it may seem, this may very well be a reality someday and even in the near future. Those that are prepared definitely stand the best chance of survival. Having plenty of vitamin C is a definite plus but you are right about having a minimum of at least two weeks of food and water. This is a great article. Thanks for posting it.

Excellent information. As scary as some of it may seem, this may very well be a reality someday and even in the near future. I also ran across ASTRAGALUS: fights disease, and illnesses: colds, influenza, allergies, fever, stomach , heart and kidney problems -
But, there is one more thing you can look at that is great for you to help you fight off Bacteria, Fungus, Viruses - and Heavy Metals - anything to keep UP your immune sustem.
For FLU: stops diarrhea, settles the stomach, "removes viruses"
This is "Diatomaceous Earth - FOOD GRADE. (DE), Just Google it and look for: What is DE?/ Uses for DE?/ and Detox, by Dr Galen D Knight. Exciting Stuff!
Also good for animals of all sorts and plants!
This is a powder, that is tasteless, and you can add it to juice or teas - whatever. Just one more idea to help you!
Stay healthy and Merry Christmas!

Great thoughts! Thank you! Germanium, and Vitamin D are excellent. I also ran across ASTRAGALUS: fights disease, and illnesses: colds, influenza, allergies, fever, stomach , heart and kidney problems -<br

Keep your immune system built up. When you read of flu epidemics of years ago, the heartiest were often the ones taking care of the sick (without wearing masks!) and the heartiest of them survived.
So exercise and take vitamins to keep healthy!

The best way to not get sick is to be healthy and fit in the first place. Keep your immune system built up. Stay away from stores, and any place where there are a large number of people in close proximity to each other.
In case of an epidemic, definitely stay home!
Unless you are REALLY sick and need to seek medical assistance, do NOT got to any HOSPITAL.
I can't begin to tell you how many and what types of germs are brought in thru their doors each day, by hundreds of people!
Think about it!

In a worse case scenario, ISOLATION is your best bet!<br

They do NOT last long, some may even suffer from a lack of oxygen in long periods of wear.
(Remember, you exhale too, that contains moisture and that reduces the air flow dramatically on those el cheapo masks everyone was buying at Home Depot, and so forth!)
Viruses are at the micobial, micron level, which can ONLY be seen with electron microscope, due to size!
There are VERY FEW types of masks that will filter them, and they are hundreds of dollars!
Stay away from large groups, wash your hands, if you must, stay home.
Use your heads, NOT your wallets!

1) do NOT buy intro the mask theory!<br

Also, get at least 15 minutes of sun every day, Vitamin-D is your best protection from getting sick and the sun provides it to you FREE! If you dont already have what you need to survive a government imposed quarantine, visit my site http://www.SurvivalTime.org and get prepared now.
Personally, I think this is hyped to sell us on vaccines which will cause more harm than good (check out 1976 flu deaths related to the vaccine not the bug).
Or...to sell TamiFlu to those who get sick, even though there's serious doubt that it's even going to work in the end.

It's important for all to know, don't use the Alcohol-Based hand sanitizers as a primary protection, plain soap and water is recommended, with the sanitizers only in case soap and water's not available.

Also, get at least 15 minutes of sun every day, Vitamin-D is your best protection from getting sick and the sun provides it to you FREE!
