Lately survivalism has been in the news a lot. Even over the last 5-10 years more and more stories have come out regarding this movement. Some are fair and offer great exposure, however others seem to drive people away by making survivalism look crazy. For instance in this video below, this man is preparing solely because of his believe in peak oil. Well whether or not peak oil is real does not matter because preparedness makes good logical sense. However to the uneducated this is an immediate turnoff.
